Dani Delade

Dani DeLade received their Masters from the School of Visual Arts and is a licensed creative art therapist. For the last four years Dani has been working at Safe Homes Project, a community-based domestic violence service and advocacy program. Working in nonprofit social service organizations for the past nine years, Dani is a creative healer who uses art to build resilience and strengthen the inner voice. Dani incorporates many mediums in their art therapy practice, including art, poetry, creative writing, meditation and mindfulness. Dani is an advocate, activist and socially conscious artist who creates predominantly with collage. They participated in More Art’s 2016 Engaged Artist Residence where they became involved in the housing justice movement, participated in community activism, and facilitated an art therapy workshop with individuals at risk of being evicted from their home. Dani has lived in Brooklyn, NY for the past eight years and enjoys going to the park with their dog, Potato.
