Camila Ruiz Diaz

Camila Ruiz is a Colombian artist living in New York City. Her artwork consists primarily of handmade embroidery pieces, with figurative yet cartoonish images. Her core themes are women, memories, nature, and history. As a result, her work centers on her personal experiences and critical research. She has also explored weaving, quilting, and beading as forms of expression, maintaining her colorful and girly style.

After dedicating five years to the Fiber Arts, Camila decided to explore a different art field, yet relatable to the craftsmanship quality of her previous projects, which lead her to study Printmaking at the Art Students League of New York.
