Ahmed Tijay Mohammed

Born in Kintampo Ghana, Tijay’s work has been exhibited globally including the Longwood Art Gallery NY, Green Drake Art Gallery PA, Lincoln Medical Center NY, The National Museum of Ghana, and Ravel D’Art, Cote d’Ivoire. He has collaborated in organizing workshops for numerous communities and organizations like the Studio Museum Harlem, Wallach Art Gallery NY, University of Ghana Performance Art center and Pinto community Arima Trinidad and Tobago. He is a recipient of Arts fund and Artist for community Grant from the Bronx council on the Arts, Create Change, The Laundromat Project NY and Spanish embassy Artist Award Ghana. He was participant in Global Crit Clinic, Asiko Artist in residency Ghana, Harmattan workshop, Nigeria and Community Workers Training, NY. Tijay is devoted to creating and volunteering in societal integration programs. He currently lives and works in Bronx NY.
