Commissioned by More Art, Marina Abramovic has created a limited edition Energy Blanket. Through the strategic placement of 14 magnets along the body’s energy meridians, this interactive work re-imagines the centuries-old tradition of magnetic therapy as a restorative artistic practice. As the blanket’s magnetic field creates heat to energize and oxygenate the blood, the work provides a transcendental healing experience to its wearer.

Marina Abramović is a groundbreaking performance artist who began her practice in the early 1970s. Abramović’s work explores the relationship between performer and audience, and the psychical and mental endurance of the body.

Marina’s work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at major museums in the United States and Europe. Her work has also been included in international exhibitions including the Venice Biennale (1976 and 1997) and Documenta VI, VII and IX, Kassel, Germany (1977, 1982, and 1992).

In 2010, The Museum of Modern Art, New York held a major retrospective of Abramović’s work, which was the biggest exhibition of performance art in MoMA’s history. During the run of the exhibition, Abramović performed “The Artist is Present,” a 736-hour and 30-minute static, silent piece, in which she sat motionless in the museum’s atrium while audience members were invited to take turns sitting opposite her.
